Through a career of almost 40 years, Simon is a senior executive with extensive international experience acquired primarily in the Travel & Tourism and Shipping sectors in public and private ownership. 


He left his role as Passenger Services Director at P&O Ferries in 2013, established YS Comms Ltd and subsequently founded Shipshape Consulting, a boutique executive consultancy network of Associates who focus on customer facing businesses with a specialism in travel, tourism, retailing and passenger and freight shipping.  


He is a subject matter expert in brand development, customer management, omni-channel marketing, onboard retailing and the development of yield & pricing architecture. He has a successful track record in leading and managing change through people in highly competitive markets where the battle for customer attention impacts on every aspect of the business and has extensive experience in business transformation. He is well versed in representing business externally with Government and other sector institutions. 


Simon has previously held senior roles as Director of the Institute of Travel & Tourism, Chairman of the UK Passenger Shipping Association, Marketing Director of London Chamber of Commerce and General Manager of Stena Line Holidays. 


He is a Co-Director of YS Comms Limited and founded Shipshape Consulting with Yolanda Stewart.
